Quick Dorian O'Daniel Update
I just got done chatting with top LB target Dorian O'Daniel who has recently set his visit date for the Spring Game on April 14th (teammate and five-star CB Kendall Fuller will join him). Dorian made a couple interesting comments:
- Florida, who is a school he has high on his list, took 4 linebackers this weekend. When I asked if this affected his view of them, he said "somewhat"
- On visiting Michigan: "I can't wait to go check out the Big House". I told him it was big and he said that "he can't wait to see it for himself".
- When asked if Michigan was on top: "I wouldn't say they are on top, but I do favor them"
He also wanted to know what positions our eight weekend commits played, because he hadn't gotten a chance to check out the pull yet. 247 Sports has Michigan as "warm" along with Florida and Ohio, so the fact that he made a point to mention UF's linebacker pull might bump them down a notch. He's definitely excited to get up to Ann Arbor.
EDIT: Keith at Tremendous did a great breakdown of Dorian's game a while back: Dorian O'Daniel

6'3 doesn't mean much. Tremendous had him listed at 200 pounds which is, no, not a SAM. The 220 lbs listed on Rivals makes him a more likely candidate, I admit.

A junior in high school weighing between 200-220. Lets Pretend he weighs 210. By the time he got on campus, I'd expect him to be 215-220. Maybe redshirt, and in his RFrsh year, He Should be approximately 225 or so. Give him a few more years, and he could hit 235-240. He's easily got the frame for it. Remember, Jonas Mouton was a safety prospect, and he turned out to be a big linebacker.

Getting them on campus is huge. Hopefully they like what they see.

Getting them on campus is the first thing. Hopefully they fall in love with AA and the coaching staff. Plus we have Morris, the best recruiter out there.
