OT: Tigers win on walk off HR!
Hey y'all, for those of you who weren't paying attention to the Tigers today (pretty much everyone?) The Tigers entered the bottom of the 9th down 2 to the ChiSox. Cabrera hit a 3 run homer to win. Man, it is great to be from Michigan today...
Edit: Lousy Gamecast... As it turns out, Raburn hit a 2R HR to tie and Cabrera hit a solo in the bottom of the 9th. Either way, WIN!

Wow! I stopped paying attention when they were down 8-1.

I clicked on the game and saw it was 6-1, then went back and saw it was 8-1. I figured there was no need to go back for the day.

NO. Raburn hit a 2 run homer to tie it and Cabby won it with a solo bomb

The White Sox are 7.5 back, and the Tigers have 23 to go. This one might have been the kill shot on the White Sox.

when it was 8-1. I think that game was the proverbial backbreaker for the Sox, they seem done at this point. Tigers just need to avoid a collapse and the division is theirs.
The Tigers offense has been sizzling as of late, and Jackson has been on fire at the top of the lineup.

Let's not be reckless here, good sir. The White Sox are one thing. Cleveland is an entirely different issue. We've still got 6 left with them, including the last 3 of the season.

Cleveland, pending the outcome of Cleveland's game. With only 20 some games left it would take a collapse to lose that lead, regardless of what Cleveland does. With the way the Tigers have been lately I don't see a collapse being likely. One series against Cleveland is at home, the other is on the road. I would be more worried if the remaining six were all on the road. The Tigers are simply a better team than Cleveland.

has been terrific lately. He has really sparked the Tigers offense. Come on Royals, help the Tigers out.

Chicago pitcher was throwing up cream puffs in the ninth inning, you would think the fix was in. I think Cabrera hits that pitch out 99 times out of 100

Man what a day for sports.
I thought Tigers were done for after the 2 error inning and then it was 8-1. Im flipping thru channels and hear someone say "tie game!" after Raburns shot. So I turn it back to Fox, see Young get out and then Cabreras blast was a no doubter. Im not counting the Sox/Indians out yet but i have to say Tigers playoff chances are at like 90%.

have been called out for running out of the baseline. The throw to first by Avila was on target, it hit Pierre when he was clearly out of the baseline. The umps blew that one. And actually replays showed that the guy at first was out on the Guillen error, even though it would have cost them a double play regardless.

I was in the middle of the typhoon and was not sure what was going on at Comerica Park.
They need to keep catching breaks like this right through September - the Tigers are classic at screwing up early sometimes, but they've been able to come back from the dead quite a bit this year. It's refreshing.
