The scene of him riding through the desert in Lawrence of Arabia is sublime. Definetely worth a watch is you haven't seen it.
And Lean, anything David Lean is must watch.
The memory trigger that pops for me goes way back to the early 1970's and a column in the daily paper about the card game bridge. Apparently, Omar was a world-class bridge player. The column was called "Bridge with Omar," or something like that. I have memories of graphics showing various clubs and spades and whatnot, and me not understanding a word of it. I'd then move on to the comics.
And a world-class backgammon player...........for money.
I loved top secret.
