OT: NCAA 11: Our QBs are made of glass and straw

Submitted by othernel on

I squeezed in a couple games last night of NCAA 11 on the 360 (sorry I didn't reply to a couple of messages you guys sent) and in almost all of my games, either Denard or Tate were injured for the game within the first quarter.

I was barely running any options and made sure to slide or run out of bounds whenever I could, but like clockwork, Tate/'Nard would always go down.

In addition to the QB's, I've noticed a ton of injuries in general. Like 4-5 per team each game. I just figured they were trying to show of their new Erin Andrews injury report feature.

Has it been the same for you guys?

P.S. Gamertag is "othernel" for anyone who wants to play sometime.

That's the problem I have with these yearly released games.  it shouldn't need a patch.  The game should be playable out of the box without need to curtail something as simple as players are prone to excessive injury.  Shouldn't the testers have figured that out?

Yeah, there have been a ton of injuries in my games, but never the QBs (Koger, Moundros, Odoms, all come to mind as injury prone). There's almost certainly a slider where you can turn down injuries--I haven't looked--but if not, it could end up being a problem.

for 5 games this season (5-0 by the way) and he is healthy (and better stay that way) but I did lose Jonas Mouton to a broken wrist for 3-6 weeks

I know in 10 that players would go into games with a higher chance of getting injured and even if you quit (BG out for season? No, sir I do believe you are incorrect) and go back in, they still tend to get injured to some degree in the game no matter what.

The other thing was that you almost never had injuries in the game. You might have two players out at a time, but that was it. I would imagine they are trying to add more short-term injuries to reflect the game a little more.
