Right after it was announced during the preseason game Jaworski said that McNabb would be pissed about that...which I don't understand at all. It's not as if Vick will even be considered for the starting quarterback role this year or probably even next if McNabb is healthy. I really hate Jaworski, the way he speaks is absolutely infuriating

As an Eagles (and Michigan fan, yes I know, weird combination) fan, I think it's worth the gamble. There really isn't any downside since most of the contract won't be guaranteed. He's not really ready to play QB, so they can use him for a few plays a game in the Wildcat like they did with DeSean Jackson. Or, maybe as a kick returner. All of the pending stories about McNabb's dissatisfaction should be ignored. It doesn't affect his unquestioned role on the team whatsoever.

It's pretty sad that we already know how ESPN is going to cover this story. It's even more ridiculous when you consider Vick was terrible in the West Coast offense before the dog fighting scandal.

The Eagles are already used to a running QB, so they wouldn't really need to put in a different package for Vick, and it wouldn't disrupt anything that is already in place.

This is a good fit. He knows the west coast offense and is behind a quarterback who can mentor him both as a balanced quarterback and as a person.

i was sick enough hearing espn say over and over "...and we all know that tony dungy is completely incapable of lies and deceit." but yeah, this should be a fun one. i'm not expecting too much cuz you figure some of that speed is gone, but nevertheless, vick and westbrook... damn that will be a fast combo

But Love the move McNabb is always getting injured, their "qb of the future" kolb is injured, why not sign a playmaker like Vick? If McNabb goes down Vick could lead Philly to a win, I can't same the same of their current backup AJ Feely.

i think it was a really good move for the Eagles from a football perspective. Vick is still probably a POS from a moral perspective, but he has definitely paid his debt to society and deserves a second chance.

I was never a big Vick fan back in the day but I have been behind him in this since the start. He paid his debt and deserves a chance to work. Now for Philly, I think its a low risk move. Will some fans be pissed? Sure of course but fans bitch about everything. It gives them insurance and I think he should be in shape by the time Goodell re-examines his suspension. PETA can complain but I doubt it'll make a dent in the Eagles ticket sales. Im rooting for Vick on this one.

Seriously, Ron Mexico? No that wasnt his "second chance". Either way there are more people in favor of him being allowed as to opposed. I doubt the people who will be picketing or whatever will make a dent in the pocket. Will they be picketing when Pitino takes the floor? Afterall if you were to talk to some conservative nut jobs...he killed a baby.
