OT - Cats

My cat is named Maris and her favorite thing to do is sleep near me. She's a sweet little gray cat.

This is apparently a real thing:

My cat can open the garbage can cabinet, jump on on top of the can, straddle the edges while pulling things out with his paw, and he then lets the dog have them. He also pulls leftovers out of the garbage disposal for the dog  -- half eaten pizza slices, the one last piece of chicken from the kung pao.....and he has no shame doing it. If you catch him in the act, he looks up to see who's disturbing him, and then goes back to it. He doesn't even bother running away in fear of retribution. He's pretty swaggy. 

Pretty sure my cat either thinks shes a dog or wants to be one. She has gotten a bit more independent as she's gotten a little older but still very dog like. Ive always been a dog person and preferred dogs but this was the coolest little kitten I ever met and when my friend couldnt/wouldnt take care of her anymore I happily adopted the lil girl and weve been best pals ever since.
