OT: Best way to cook a duck?
In honor of our esteemed opponent on Thursday, I would like to prepare a meal fit for the occasion. I wasn't able to find duck breast anywhere, but I found a local butcher who has whole duck.
After wading through the youtube my preference is to cook it on the grill using the "beer can chicken" method, but it sounds a little tricky and proper temperature is critical.
I would be very appreciative if anyone in the MGoBlog community has experience cooking whole ducks, and particularly, "beer can duck" on the grill. I can't remember a tastier opponent, and do not want to let this opportunity slip away.

Aha...pronoun trouble. It's not he doesn't have to shoot you now, It's he doesn't have to shoot me now. Well I say he does have to shoot me now, so shoot me now! KA-POW!

And before you can cook the varmint, you have to kill the varmint. Just ask Carl Spackler.
I'm mallard on my father's side. This thread is deeply offensive to me, and should be marked with a trigger warning. It's bad enough that we're playing Oregon on Thursday; now this? Mgoblog was supposed to be a safe space.
A nice alternative: go to your local Chinatown or search "Chinese BBQ" in Yelp. Find a place with ducks, chickens, and pork hanging in the window. Go inside and tell them you want duck. You should probably get some char siu too. Watch some guy with the biggest cleaver you've ever seen chop up some meat for you. He will probably put it over rice and cabbage. Enjoy.
Shoot 80% plus in FG's, sprinkle in about 12-15 buckets from 3 point range and the duck should be completely roasted. With a very sweet after taste of victory!! Sure to please any palate.
In the oven or in the microwave. Try to avoid frying. It's so fat and thus unhealthy. I myself bought recently a new built-in microwave (about which I read here) and now I try to cook in it. It's pretty handy.
