For those of us 'saw' this via the espn scoreboard... what happened to the defense? how did we give up 5 goals in like a period?

I have no friggin' clue what happened. I don't want to put it all on Hogan, but compared to Pierce, he looked bad. We just didn't seem to hustle for the open puck at all. Shit, on our last power play, we didn't even have a shot on goal.
It seems that we always rely on our typical speed game against ND, and it just doesn't work. I wish they would try something else.

i had to take a 30 minute walk to cool off, but i still think the best way to sum up the game is just 'fuck'. first two goals were deflections that hogan didn't have a good shot at. 3rd he maybe couldve got, 4th was a meltdown goal, and i felt the 5th came at the point where the team had given up. get this meltdown stuff out of the system before tourny time. because seriously, that's the most epic breakdown i've ever seen from a team i've been cheering for.

My wife got pretty pissed at me shortly after the 4th goal when I let out a string of obscenities within earshot of our 5-year-old. We melted down in the 3rd period. However, there's no denying that Pierce is a badass.

and i'm with you on the needing a walk tonight. after watching the bball team lose, the hockey team crumble, and some of my favorite college wrestlers defeated (metcalf :( ) i needed to cool off. the only thing that saved my night was Steve Luke becoming 174 national champ in wrestling, even tho he beat a Central kid to do it. I took some shots, put a chew in, and smoked a cigar while walking down the railroad tracks in Mt. Pleasant. At least that calmed me down a bit. Anyways, thanks for listening to my drunken ramble :P
I tuned in when it was 2-1 and turned it off when it was 2-3
