Michigan Free Agent Signings
Here are your unofficial Michigan free agency signings, for our boys who missed out on draft day, but will still look to earn an NFL paycheck (except Carson Butler, who will undoubtedly be cut after releasing a terror-spree the nerdy denizens of Wisconsin).
Full (and still unofficial) list can be found here: http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2009/04/2009-undrafted-free-agent-signin…
Will Johnson - Ravens
Brandon Harrison - Colts
Tim Jamison - Texans
Doug Dutch - Redskins
Sean Griffin - Seahawks
Carson Butler - Packers
Here's hoping these undrafted guys impress enough to crack the roster.
...let's hope Carson Butler gets waived on Thursday, and then plays in Canada as a backup to Phillippe Grenier sur Rougeaux, a finesse defensive tackle from Bordeaux who gains weight in the offseason by drinking red wine.
I don't want Butler to mooch off of Michigan and then succeed in the NFL given the negativity he helped spread about the Michigan locker room and sidelines last year.
Conversely, if Butler succeeds, I hope the coaches don't go around to tight end recruits saying, "We put Carson Butler in the NFL, so we can get you there, too."
Agreed. The whole "we took an NFL tight end and converted him to defensive end for half a season while we played a true freshman instead" bit probably would not be a strong selling point to TE recruits.
5'9" strong safeties. You could call Harrison a poor mans Sanders, so if Harrison can be a good special teams guy and cover slot guys in dime packages then its a good pick-up for Indy.

More like a homeless mans Sanders.
I don't know what he wasn't drafted. I have heard he also was built like a rock or something similar to that.
Do NFL teams even draft long snappers? I figure they were all free agent signings and worked their way up from there.
I may not have put the proper wink within the spirit of my post. This was a Mcfarlin reference from awhile back to Mike Hart that started a brouhaha
that c-wood bitch slaps butler at the first mini camp???
970 billion to 1 against. Butler would break Woodson in half.
Bullshit. Butler is a bitch and wouldn't dare touch Woodson. If he did he'd get his ass smoked and wouldn't sniff an NFL roster.

'signings' just opportunities to come to training camp and probably a great number of these guys won't make the 53 man roster or even practice squads. but who knows. will johnson might have a chance. and the long snapper. But doug dutch? c'mon it's not like he was buried behind all big-ten talent, he couldn't beat out guys who couldn't produce much either.
