META (Kind of, I think) HTTV 2018 Question
I pledged $15, but when I received my confirmation, the confirmation stated that I opted not to receive the guide. Not sure if this was a quirk in the kickstarter campaign, but I am unsure how to ensure I receive this year's preview. I tried using the "Contact Editor" tab, but it was a dead link. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, comments appear to be disabled on the main page post regarding the donations.
Your pledge to receive the guide needs to cover the shipping/tax or whatever as well, so the minimum to receive the guide is actually $18. You may not have clicked on the pledge option to receive the guide, or if you manually edited the $18 down to $15 you wouldn't be eligible for the guide.
Is there any way to pay the extra 3 dollars now? It was not clear when I pledged the money. To the contrary, it says $15.00 gets you the book.
You have to click the little pledge option that says "THE BOOK". It says $15, but then when you click that it automatically adds the $3 for shipping. If you don't click which prize you want, then you're just voluntarily giving money to the campaign.
As for next steps/giving that extra $3, I am not sure. Might need to email with Brian or another mod to get that worked out.

While we're HTTVing, is there going to be a digital only option this year?
IIRC that came out after the Kickstarter closed last time. I have an "i only read on screens" idiot relative with a birthday coming up.
One more question: The Dawn of Scientific Football by Craig Ross is going to be about the rapid changes in scoring values from 1903-1912, isn't it?
I think Seth said that's TBD last I heard, Notre Dame has some restrictive licensing rules and the photos they were allowed to use are only allowed for print or something like that.

Damn. I love the physical copy, but usually get a good head start on the digital copy right when it comes out. I always go on vacation the week of the 4th and it's nice to start those mornings with some HTTV and coffee. I'd take a version without pictures in the Notre Dame section tbh.
Likewise. I'd pay an extra dollar for one with leprechaun stock photos.
I REALLLLY want to get the digi editions out to the backers by the 4th.
1. Yes there will be a digital-only on the MGoStore for $10. It won't come out until the print does because we have to redesign some pages we don't have digital photo rights for.

You apparently chose the "Make a pledge without a reward" option. You can still change it to "THE BOOK" on Kickstarter pretty easily.
I chose the "the book" option, but it never gave me a place to enter my shipping address. It just says "ship to: anywhere in the world." Unfortunately I did this as a guest, and did not make a kickstarter account, so I'm not sure if I can change it.
