Locker room issues after the game?
I'm copy and pasting WMUKirk's post from the Snowflakes Offense thread. Feel free to delete if you think it shouldn't be up. Figured people would miss this as it is buried in that thread.
"I do not know where to post this but here's information for you.
1. Michigan will be holding a players only meeting tomorrow, spearheaded by Jake Ryan, and Ramon Taylor.
2. Shane has a high ankle sprain, doubtful he plays next week. Can barely put pressure on it.
3. Desmond Morgan is highly upset that Jabril didn't play today.
4. Players morale has geniuely finally dipped.
5. Jabril turned his back to the coaches after the game, and looked in his locker. He's highly disgusted.
6. Doesn't feel like a team, defense keeps to defense. Offense to offense. Not much cross mingling between them after this game.
7. Nuss & Hoke argued with Dave Brandon present. Words weren't audible to any one else. "

I can see many things in our future. None of them are paticularly good. This team is so fractured that they need a four star general of a coach to restore any semblance of actually being a team. And the road to that will not be pretty. They will probably lose more than a few players that are either too fed up with the entire program, or don't want to go through a complete overhaul.
I know we all hope that a new coach will be hired after this season, and that he will come in like a wrecking ball whipping up the team to a Big-Ten Championship next year. But in reality we are in for a big helping of pain for a while. My only hope is that that pain will lead to a brighter future.... least the program ends up being broken forever.

I've been thinking this for weeks; what is going through the heads of these kids as they're watching older guys above them not do their jobs, only months after a recruiting process told them how good and special they were.
What is going through Charlton's and Poggi's heads as they're watching an undersized Brennen Beyer getting pushed around?
How is Patrick Kugler doing mentally backing up a converted DE?
How about Kalis backing up a walkon?
How about all the other younger OL backing up a converted DE at Center, a walkon at RG, and a lesser heralded RT? I'm not saying I buy in to stars talk all the time, but these are kids who were promised opportunities by schools way better than UM right now on the field and with better track records of developing talent.
On the DL, morale can't be high with the ever changing DL rotations.
So because I'd been thinking this type of outburst from a younger player is possible, I can see how it's realistic for a kid like Peppers to after watching Countess and Taylor get roasted and play 10 yards off the receiver all the time get fed up and yell this at coaches, especially coaches led by a guy who's never made his affinity for seniors a secret. I'd yell at them too if I were Peppers.
