Lacrosse Beats Detroit 15-10, powered by 11-0 run, now 3-0
Update: Powered by an 11-0 run from 3:04 left in the 2nd to 5:51 left in the game, our boys ran Detroit out of the building. It was tied 5-5 at the half. The run was powered by offensive weapons Ian King and Brent Noseworthy who tallied four goals apiece in the scoring onslaught. While the final score didn't look so bad, this was a rout. A few late goals (which is a bit of a cause for concern) made it look better than it was for Detroit.
Michigan has now matched its season win total from last year and are 3-0. They've played weak teams so far but its a promising sign that they've won in blowouts. It's still too early to gauge what kind of team they are but it's been positive so far.
This team should have a ton of confidence now. This weekend they go to Bellarmine - a team that could give them more of a challenge. Bellarmine is 0-1 but had some tough losses to good teams last year. Michigan needs to take care of business again because next week they run into the buzzsaw that is Notre Dame. Good win tonight - Go Blue!

Yes, that is their indoor venue so this counts as a road game even though it's not even in the same county as Detroit.

We've played Soccer there before (Oakland) as well.
No idea why Oakland doesn't use that as their home field. I've been to their field in Rochester when we played them in Soccer and it sucks.

8-5 Michigan.
I guess Detroit can't afford a stream. Even Bellarmine does streams.

YES! This is a game they should win. I was getting a little nervous there - looks like they're rolling now!

It was so adorable, their players talking on twitter last year when the game was cancelled.
As if we were afraid to play their 1-win team.
How's that working out? 14-5 right now.
That narrow win they got in 2012 will be their only one for a long time.

There's no reason they should be playing this game so early in the season. It's good its indoors but these guys are practically neighbors and can play a midweek game at any point in the year. I would prefer to see this towards the end of the OOC sched instead of the beginning.
And in the future it might be nice to alternate between this site and Michigan's new facility. A mid/late season matchup on a Wed or Thurs night in April would be a lot better than Feb 15th (I'll stop complaining about the scheduling now)

UD breaks the 11-0 run.
I could probably add this to the M Lacrosse SuperGuide after some research since the program is so young and all the history is trackable, but I can't remember a run that large in our 6 years.
16-8

3-0. Very nice start.
Being up 10 in the 4th on a team OSU struggled with is interesting.
Brent Noseworthy is having a nice early season. 11 goals in 3 games.
If we can get to 6-1 going into the Penn game, that would be steps in the right direction.

If you think that's awesome, look at captain Mikie Schlosser's mullet-
