The Ignas Brazdeikis story
Surprised this hadn't been posted yet, but here's an excellent look by Quinn at Iggy, his dad, and what makes them both tick...

Go Blue! Go Lithuania!
And Go Canada!
Pay walled. Want to share a brief synopsis for the tight wad members of the Board?
For those that pay for the Athletic - Are you happy with it? Worth it in your opinion?
Yes, very. Football coverage has slowed in the offseason, but that’s obviously fine (especially this year...).
Both Michigan beat writers are excellent, and the national coverage is very good. And Faux Pelini’s weekly advice column is worth the price of entry alone.
It really is good. If you were around when newspapers were a thing The Athletic is like reading the Sunday sports section seven days a week. The volume of quality content is well worth the money. Also, if you are into fantasy football or baseball you will have plenty to read.
And the single finest aspect...no ads or pop-ups. None. Zero.
Two thumbs up!
I subscribe and it's money well-spent. I took on a trial subscription last fall around the start of the football season and soon decided to become a full subscriber.
My only regret with The Athletic is that most days I don't have time to read more than an article or two, unless I were to cut way back on MGoBlog time. It's so well-written compared to practically anything else I've seen on the web. The only sports website I prioritize over The Athletic is going to this site's front page
I subscribed and found I just didn't read it enough. Probably worth it for really hard core fans.
Same here. I support what they're doing and it's not expensive, but after mgoblog I just really don't read much in sports besides Bill Connelly or a couple other stray articles. College football is all I track closely nowadays.
Athletic is great.
Well worth it for the college football and college hoops stuff alone.
If you have the Athletic app, i believe you can read 3 free articles a month. I used one on this story and thoroughly enjoyed it.
DID YOU KNOW he was born in Lithuania and moved to Canada??
Didn't know he was born there, but I did assume he was of Lithuanian stock, as we have a rule to go no more than 5 years without a Lithuanian-Canadian player on the team.
He also played with Clayton Kershaw on the same Little League team.
Since Matthew Stafford was there as well it bodes well for Iggy to get a 9 figure contract.
Yea, they've only said it about a thousand times during the year's broadcasts.
Wake up
Go Blue.

Ok ok, I'm up!
What kind of asshole posts something like this without a fucking warning it's a pay for site?
Wolf, long time no see my man.
Wait a minute, you mean Charles Mathews is a Kentucky transfer AND John Belein has never been an assistant?
Iggy shoots the ball with his left hand and is just as effective with his right hand...he’s amphibious. :-D
Did you guys know that John Beilein has never been an assistant coach?
