Announcers for the ESPN Kansas/UM game: "Hail to the Victors is the best fight song ever, hands down." Made my day.

Is anyone else as surprised as I am how he went out of his way to compliment Michigan? I mean, he was saying we were "back in the game" when we clearly weren't and he said we would be ranked again before the season is over. Hope he's right, but that's a serious stretch. What's gotten into him?

He's really high on Sims and Harris having worked with them at various camps in the off-season. He even went out of his way to say that you can't find many better kids than DeShawn during the game after he was benched with 4 fouls. It's refreshing to see someone, especially Bilas, not splitting hairs when there are good things to be said.

But I am not. I see learning at least one foreign language in Manny's future. I'd hate to see him leave after this year--he'll be drummed out of the NBA quickly. I see him as a player without a position in the NBA. I don't think he is fast enough or handles the ball well enough to be anything but maybe a shooting guard. Sorry, but like I said: foreign languages. There's good money to be made in the Trans-Siberian Basketball Association (TSBA).

Yeah Jay Bilas really was talking up Michigan a ton this game. I thought he'd be more balanced in his discussions about Kansas and Xavier Henry, but he just couldn't stop about Michigan and Manny. Doesn't bother me though. I'll always love me some Michigan fluff.

If it weren't for that comment, the game would have been awful. Between the incessant "green" references and our inability to make wide open threes, the game was fairly unwatchable. I can't believe that Jay Bilas and whatever dope announced the game with him was the highlight of my day.
