Forde Actually makes sense?!? Never thought I'd see the day...

This is the first thing he's written that hasn't made me want to gouge my eyes out with a very sharp object. He's still his usual arrogant, smug self, but at least he's fairly on point in regards to Kiffin and his "accomplishments."
As an aside, Kiffin is kind of like Kwame - an apparent self-absorbed jerk who continues to make the news interesting, if not in a puke-on-my-shoes fashion...
Work that snake oil Rich!

Somebody on the SC Rivals board compared this staff (with so many guys from Pete's early days at SC) to getting the band back together Van Halen style. All the pieces are in place and the only questions have to do with the frontman. We'll just have to wait and see if Lane is Sammy Hagar (not as acclaimed maybe, but still a bigger seller than Diamond Dave) or that guy from Extreme (enough said).

Kwame Brown?

I believe he is referring to Kwame Kilpatrick, the embattled former mayor of the city of Detroit. On the other hand there is a high probability my sarcasm meter is broken.

Nope, your sarcasm meter is working just fine. I was indeed referring to the former mayor of Detroit.

ie, Rod Blagojevich, who fits the same mold and is more known nationally, for those of us non-Michigan natives/residents who are not as familiar with Kwame Kilpatrick's exploits.

Bonus points for anyone who is familiar with his work.

I'm not a huge Forde fan either, but this was actually funny. When I heard the news I thought the exact same thing. What has Kiffin done to deserve what is quite possibly the best job in college football today? Kiffin does do one thing well. He certainly surrounds himself with good assistant coaches. If anyone can make him look good, it will be the likes of Ed Orgeron, Monte Kiffin, and possibly Norm Chow.

RR and friends need to be in two places at one time. They need to get after some of those recruits that were left in the cold. He could also use that Wizard hat with him when he does that in house as well.
