Don't Forget Your Saturday MOJO!

Submitted by Enjoy Life on

As we all know, there is not just a correlation but a proven and undisputable cause and effect between the clothes and rutuals of a true Meeeechigan fan and how the team plays.

So, as I left the UMass game, I was bothered by what I had done to make the game so close. I went over a mental checklist:

  • Wearing MGoBlog's "Why There's No Mascot in Ann Arbor T-shirt
  • M magnets and flags on the car
  • Played MMB's "Fire Up It's Saturday" CD on the 4 hour drive to AA
  • Wearing M hat with the stadium redidication pin
  • Tailgated before the game

I was confused until I reached into the cooler for a liquid brain lubricant after the game. Oh shit! No alcohol before the game -- how could I have been so stupid? The first 2 games were at 3:30 so, naturally, we had a couple of drinks during the tailgate. But, with the early game and a 9:30 start to the tailgate, I had shirked my duties.

It will not happen again this week. I can not let the team down.

C'mon guys, fess up, what mojo did you skip last Saturday?

I didn't miss a thing last week and was on point. I think this question would be better if it was directed at the defense... Hopefully their MOJO is in full effect today.

I did not have my Bo bobblehead on the mantle like the last two weeks as I had taken it back to it's place on my desk at work. Safe to say it is back on the mantle.

Last week, I was on point. No flaws the first three weeks. Passed my first hurdle today. Just had a girl text me and she asked me if I wanted two free tickets to the Tennessee game on the 50 yard line(I live near Chattanooga). I quickly turned them down being that the Michigan game is the same time.

I didn't crack a beer at the point of kickoff, I was watching the game with my little sisters. Usually everyone pops the top on a beer and has to finish it by the first score, which is only a challenge on kickoff returns.

I'm headed to a pony game in Grove City. (cbus burb). There may be one other Guy there wearing blue. Michigan fans always compliment each others hat/shirt/Jersey here, because so many people dis our stuff... Go Blue

I always make sure to wear a maize student season ticket holder t-shirt when we play at home, even when watching on TV.

Last week it was the 2007 season shirt.  Stupid 1-AA teams.

I'm re-rocking it today, however, because my other available options are equally ominous w/r/t today's opponent (2006 - Ball State; 2008 - Toledo).
