Crystal Balls for Sebastian Cheeks starting to trend towards NC
Title pretty much says it all. Sam had indicated a few days ago on TMI that Texas was pushing hard for him. It appears he has turned the other cheek. Pun intended.

Hard to tell a kid's intentions, but it just hasn't felt like he's wanted to be at Michigan for some time now and we've been playing catch up.
I like Sam but he and the TMI crew have been taking some L’s lately. They were behind Rivals on Micah Pollard, Loveland, and Jordan Philips’ predictions. EJ Holland put in a futurecast for Duece Spurlock to Michigan the other day after Sam flipped his Crystal Ball to a low confidence for Mississippi State. He was also hyping up Falentha Carswell on last weeks’ podcast and the dude just committed to Miami. And now Cheeks is trending away…Personally I like Sam’s style better than Holland and Balas. Just find their rivalry interesting.
Sam's a good guy it seems just too close to the program to be objective anymore and is forced to blow rainbows and sunshine to keep access. Been slipping for a while now highlighted by recent L after L. Kind of sad to see....
Sadly, kind of like the Michigan program, slowly becoming irrelevant. But I guess it's part of his job to help us cheer on a little bit above average team year in and year out. If they do make a super conference in the years ahead, I can see Michigan being left out of it. And if they do get in, they will be one of the bottom dwellers, unless all the geniuses amongst the boosters and alumni can come up with all kinds of NIL jackpots. Academics at that level will be a thing of the past for Sports
There's no way Michigan would get left out lmao. Do you know how much money that block M is worth? Michigan could go 0-12 and they would still get invited.

EJ is a d-bag. Everybody, including others at Rivals, hate him. He also burned all his bridges at 247.
But like you and others have said, a lot of the Michigan reporters/analysts are either huge fans or close with the staff, so can’t be rational. Every time something goes wrong they will spin it or publish a “who Michigan can flip” article. The last one was comical. One of the kids in the article literally told another site he has no intention of even visiting Michigan & hasn’t returned their calls.
That is why Michigan fans get their hearts broken every year recently, because their own media blow smoke up their rears and have everyone believing THIS year the team is really good.
He goes to my kids' high school. I'll see if I can put a good word in.

Barton is going to be a Ute, so don't get too hopeful. Any chance we work some snake oil on Burnham or is he completely out of the picture?

A buddy from another site interviewed him this past week & Burnham is very close with other recruits in his class & the DC/LB coach & drives down on his own dime a lot to hang out & help recruit. He was the one who closed the deal on the LB from Cali who was leaning Texas for a bit.
Sam talked about him this morning and it sounds like we have a better chance of getting Walter Nolen than we do of getting Lander Barton. Both of Lander's parents and all of his siblings have been big time athletes at Utah!

I’m not so sure about NC, he was very happy talking about Texas to the sec, expect him to flip to Texas if they go.
This seems odd, as in not an indictment of Michigan's recruiting acumen. The guy has an offer from Texas and Michigan and he choses. . . NC State? Maybe he just loves them?
Seems like Michigan is in good shape with Patton. If they hit on Patton and Josephs they'll get their top choices.
Cheeks trending elsewhere makes sense if he isn't a take for Michigan anymore.
