Perhaps more importantly, did you really put up a picture of Vida Guerra? Well done! Seriously, though if we're really concerned about noise, maybe we should sneak in vuvuzelas and just make noise throughout the game, and annoy the crap out of everyone. I think we're fine, we're not the noisiest stadium, but I wouldn't dare blame much on the student section. in my 4 years i thought were fine (except for the occasional, ill-timed wave, the annoying claw that grew on me, the late drunken fans.) I've heard some GaTech fans who made the trip say "Michigan fans don't really yell, they clap." I never noticed that in the student section...

Just graduated in 2007. Was there from 2003-20008 and will be back there again this year. I don't get it. Why is she turning on the students? The students are the loudest part of the stadium. Sure when things aren't going our way yeah they get quiet but I was there for Wisconsin this past year and that was nuts just like MSU a few years ago. I immediately got turned off by the article when she talks about students going to frat parties and being all rowdy and then they go to the stadium and be quiet... I'm sorry but without the "frat guys" what else is michigan left with a bunch of quiet foreign kids who don't know shit about football? Blaming the students who party and then come late I agree with and I always try to show up at least before kick-off but to rail on the loudest part of the stadium is stupid IME.

Ummmm, I am neither a frat guy nor a quiet foreign kid. I'm a dude who loves Michigan sports, has some friends in frats, more friends not in frats, and I scream my ass off at all games - football, basketball, volleyball, whatever. Let's try not to denounce generalizations by making them.
