Anthony LoLota
According to rivals.com, LoLota is set to announce his college decision tomorrow.
Michigan has been recruiting the defensive end ranks hard throughout the class of 2009 and tomorrow they will find out their fate with one of the top targets. Princeton (N.J.) The Hun School's Anthony Lalota will announce tomorrow night and Michigan's chances look good.
Now I haven't checked the other teams rival pages, but doesn't Brian say the team who's rival page breaks a story has a good shot? That comes from TheWolverine.com, fwiw.

Is your source Rivals? They did that.
Exact Rivals quote:
"This is never a done deal until it is a done deal, but word from sources suggests U-M does have the best chance to hear their name called by the four-star prospect tomorrow."

saw some stuff on scout about roh. is lalota commiting going to change our chances with him or something?
it'd be nice to get both of them. and it'd be really nice if nick perry somehow ends up here, though i'm resigned to the fact that he'll retardedly go to msu.

Well, I wasn't talking about specific position per say, just that the big white defensive end quota might be filled.
Okay, not to be negative, but these guys are both huge (6-5 and 6-6 I beleive). Aren't most dominant ends in the 6-2 to 6-4 range? For instance, Graham is 6-2, Jamison is 6-3, Woodley was 6-2, and Gholston (fuck him) was also 6-3. I haven't seen much, let me rephrase that, I haven't seen any film on these guys. Do they look like their height won't be a problem?

Of the top 5 sackers in 2007:
Jared Allen is 6'6", Patrick Kerney is 6'5", Demarcus Ware is 6'4", Mario Williams is 6'7", and Osi Umenyiora is 6'3".
Simply sticking to UM and OSU players as your sample is probably not the best measuring stick.
The thing that concerns me about Lalota is that he's also considered a very good prospect as a D-I offensive lineman, so that doesn't say much about his mobility. But Roh is definitely a defensive end and has pretty good speed.

I'm sold. With Van Bergen already in the fold, let the era of the big white defensive end commence!
