EMB is not a "recent offer" by the way - he was going to commit pre quiet period and then UF threw in an offer at the last minute (literally) and he suspended his decision indefinitely.  UM was in a top 5 even without a visit but certainly looked on the outside looking in - so the UF offer I guess sort of helped us in a way as it made him pause.  Even if that offer made it looked like UF was the favorite all the sudden.  So this has been going on for a while.  Main development is we now are getting him on campus.

Like someone else said this is probably telling (rather than "reactionary") to D. Jackson apparently staying south (most think Texas or FSU at this point).  Same stuff happened with a new OL offer a few days before Delance.

I think we also have a guy from IMG coming up (who if memory serves Magnus is not a super fan of either) at LB as well in next 2 weeks.

He has been in my swim lane chart for 3 weeks - I just had him in the ETC category with the Quinn Nordins and Viramontes because I only have 3 columns and I put Jones, Jackson, and Dublanko (the IMG guy) in the LB swim lane.

If Uche is going to be a LB (6'1 , 210 listed on services as DE but Brian says will be LB) he probably also belongs in that swim lane.   So its a 5 person lane.

My head is still swimming from Brian's recruiting update yest with all the movement in and out and class size stuff etc.

Yeah he is sort of opposite of say an EMB where offer list looks better than ranking.  For some reason scouting services like him more than schools (and Magnus).  Maybe he is option #5  of Jackson, Jones, Uche, EMB.

EMB has great size at least and seems like he could play quickly from a physical aspect (wouldn't need to put on 20 lbs)  even if not an elite prospect.  247 has him down in the 800s ranking - seems like the outlier there.

He looks very athletic, especially if the listed weight is accurate.  good speed and can get to the sideline fast.  However I would prefer if he was more of a downhill tackler and took on blocks better.  I see a little bit of Joe Bolden in him.  I prefer Jones no question.

and there it is....   our ace in the hole.... was wondering who the LB would be... actually I thought it'd be a grad transfer.  Heck, I still think a grad transfer LB is coming in, but won't be mentioned until AFTER signing day.
