And he won Mr. Football in high school.

Defensive player of the year too.

I was rooting for the Steelers today but Charles Woodson deserves this and I couldn't be happier for him. They're just lucky that they didn't have to face the Lions in the playoffs.

Congrats. Wooooooooooooooood!
February 6th, 2011 at 10:12 PM ^
And to the Packers, home to the last 2 Super Bowl wins for our Heisman winners. Let's hope Denard gets drafted out there in 2013
February 6th, 2011 at 10:24 PM ^
He needs to get drafted by someone else, THEN go to GB....
February 6th, 2011 at 10:16 PM ^
You deserve it more than anyone else, congrats.

Did the PA guy not know how to read Roman numerals? ("And now, the MVP from Super Bowl . . . Roger Staubach!")
February 6th, 2011 at 10:24 PM ^
Guess not. Especially if he is from PA.
February 6th, 2011 at 10:18 PM ^
Ok, that was awkward. Staubach having to carry the trophy through a mass of grown, sweaty men while they all reach out and molest it. Looked like Staubach was a little scared.

Rodgers during the commercial break adopted a younger, more adorable baby than Brees' solely for the trophy ceremony.

I think we can all agree the Chrysler ad was the best by far of the night.
Also, WOOOOOOOOO!!! Woodson gets his ring baby!!
February 6th, 2011 at 10:26 PM ^
HA HA!
February 6th, 2011 at 10:33 PM ^
This was defintely one of the best parts of the Super Bowl. This and Woodson cementing his legacy.

The Glee Open Thread in a few minutes?
(I'm 3/4's kidding....)

As a performing arts major and former behind-the-scenes worker bee, I can tell you that show has NOTHING to do with how REAL performing arts works. All drama, botomless budgets, and no brains.

I forget who wrote it, but there was someone wise who said that a TV show or movie about anything will nearly always be laughable to people actually involved in the subject of said show or movie. Medical dramas are laughable to real doctors, military movies to real soldiers and sailors, and so forth.
February 6th, 2011 at 11:52 PM ^
Just look at Dr. House. Apparently he's the only doctor in the hospital capable of performing any medical procedures, from surgery to MRIs.

I think it's meant to be more a snarky, sarcastic, dark look in that environment. No more than The Simpsons reflects family life, Community is what it's like at a Community College, or the Big Bang Theory is how Physics Departments run.

All I know is, that show makes my soul bleed. I want to see a new version of Glee where they are all forced to practice 3-4 hours a day, every day and see how perky they are after that.
February 6th, 2011 at 10:33 PM ^
With Lombardi!!
February 6th, 2011 at 10:46 PM ^
Woodson getting his ring is my only solace in the loss. I can't remember feeling more dejected than I do right now

Michigan Football the last three years??
February 6th, 2011 at 11:26 PM ^
Finally gets the ring!

Shame he couldn't finish the game but he did enough during the season to fully appreciate the win.

I think this cements him as a HOF lock, no? Either way the SB ring definitely tops off an already amazing pro career.

Congratz Chuck!!!
Go Blue!!!!!
