Miss State loses Passing Coordinator/Receivers Coach to ULL
Mark Hudspeth is gone. Not sure how much this helps us in the bowl game, but it can't hurt!

Mullen to Florida? Now the rumors are Stoops or Peterson.

any more than I can see Bo Pelini in Miami. He seems like a natural westerner to me. If Hawkins hadn't flamed out so badly at CU, I bet that Colorado would have made a run at Peterson. Hawkins just ruined the idea of a BSU coach in Boulder.

I dont think Colorada would hesitate to hire Peterson. He doesnt have a kid who plays QB.

Is "Passing Coordinator" not the same thing as "Quarterback Coach"?
December 11th, 2010 at 2:24 PM ^
Was going to ask the same thing. I've never heard of a Passing Coordinator title.

is he probably works with the WR too and wouldn't be surprised if he runs the passing skeleton drills with the running backs involved. might be a pumped up title indicating he's just a notch below OC.

The U and the Gators are actually going to combine their programs. They will become the University of Miami-Florida. Lee Corso and Lou Holtz will co-head coach this new mega program. They will also use their two new infinite eligibility waivers and get Tim Tebow and Ray Lewis to come back and play for ever.

that Jimmy Johnson's Hair will be the AD of this new SuperProgram.

I dont understand why they took the thread down about this same topic yesterday... I'm over here in Lafayette and there is a lot buzz about this guy.Apparently ULL is going to pay about $350,000 a year with a bonus of $50,000 if he brings them to a bowl game. He was making $190,000 at Mississippi State.
Excerpt from the Local Paper (Lafayette, LA) The Daily Advertiser
"Look for an official release from the school perhaps as early as Saturday.
Hudspeth has spent the past two years at Mississippi State. Prior to that he was the head coach for NCAA Division II power North Alabama, where he went 66-21 from 2002-08. He's also coached at Central Arkansas (twice), Nicholls State, Delta State (his alma mater) and Navy.
His other head coaching experience came at Winston Academy in his hometown of Louisville, Miss. He posted a 25-1 record there from 1996-97.
That means his career winning percentage in nine years as a head coach is 80.5 percent (91-22 record). Not too shabby. Hudspeth will start his new job immediately and not coach Mississippi State (8-4) against Michigan in the Gator Bowl on Jan. 1."
So he will not be a coach for the bowl game against Michigan. Hopefully this is a ongoing trend for the Gator Bowl on MSU's part

Do they pass all that much? They run a lot of spread option. I always thought they ran it more than we did.
