When I first clicked on this thread, I thought it did seem a little Bilas-esque to randomly drop Amaker's name in there. But if you read the entire paragraph (not just the truncated portion above) it makes a little more sense: "Michigan surprisingly has a shot to end its NCAA tournament drought because of two talented standouts -- Sims and Harris -- recruited by former coach Tommy Amaker, gutsy freshmen and savvy coaching by Beilein, who is in his second season with them."

With an anti-UM bias. I agree with the growing faction of UM fans who feel that he should not be allowed to ever do or comment on a UM game. I will take it a step further: If Bilas can't be professional enough to keep his man-love for his bff Amaker out of his assessments of UM, then ESPN should find someone else to do his job. I know the "P" in ESPN doesn't stand for "professional," but it would be nice to pretend it does on occasion.

I just watched a segment on Sportscenter on 4 bubble teams (Cincy, Michigan, Providence, and Maryland)..."which 2 are in, which 2 are out?" The analysts were Hubert Davis, Digger Phelps and Jay Bilas... FWIW, Bilas was the only one of the 3 to say that M is in (Hub going as far as to say M is the 4th team in that group).

Was the only person out of the three ncaa analysis people to pick michigan as an "in" rather than an "out" for the ncaa tournament, it kind of suprised me.
