yeah.. ummm.. it's not like Penn State played OSU every year before joining the big ten...
November 13th, 2010 at 4:11 PM ^
They've still gone there every other year since 1993. I don't know how they could have possibly never thrown a TD in all those games.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:04 PM ^
TD Penn State. First passing TD by Penn State under Jo Pa
November 13th, 2010 at 4:04 PM ^
McGloin is better than we all thought he was 2 weeks ago.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:04 PM ^
First ever TD pass by a JoePa team in Columbus? That is seriously nuts (although understandable since a vast portion of his coaching career occurred before the forward pass was invented).
November 13th, 2010 at 4:06 PM ^
McFavre is the real deal. The "moxy" drinking game is going to kill me in this one.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:07 PM ^
Pryor does have a sick stiffarm. It helps that his arms are like 5 feet long.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:09 PM ^
I don't think DROB runs the zone read as it should be run. It appears he gives entirely way too much just because someone has walked down to contain.
Pryor just kept and beat two people to the keep side. DROB could beat most guys playing contain and I cannot figure out why he doesn't keep more.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:15 PM ^
Denard seems to be more hesitant as of late. Not sure if it is the injuries or something else. But he does not seem to be hitting the line as quickly as he was early on.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:21 PM ^
He's going down on initial contact more frequently as well. I think it's also a function of us getting a little run-heavy in our early-down play sequencing. When he was in in the second half, every first and second down was a run.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:53 PM ^
I don't know about other games, but in today's game I had no problem with running a lot in the 2nd half. It was bad weather, we had a lead on a team who hadn't scored an offensive touchdown. Chew up the clock and get out of the rain quicker.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:12 PM ^
Is chop block being called more this year? I don't remember hearing it be called as much as this year. Refs are showing some moxie calling it.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:14 PM ^
PSU looking solid so far. Impressed.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:15 PM ^
McGloin...just full of grit and moxie!
November 13th, 2010 at 4:17 PM ^
Maybe.... We aren't so screwed against OSU...
<br>
<br>I'm not saying. I'm just saying
November 13th, 2010 at 4:18 PM ^
Not to get too far ahead, but if PSU knocks off OSU, can I retract my bitter thoughts and words when Michigan lost to PSU? "3rd string QB, Royster blah, blech, blech, unacceptable, RR needs to go" rant is now looking rather childish.
PSU looks like a well oiled machine. I know in one hour it could all be over, but for now, maybe Michigan hanging with them wasn't so terrible and the loss is now more palatable, EVEN THOUGH we should have beat them.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:19 PM ^
They still have not beaten a decent team all year. Miami (YTM) is their "marquee" win, and that was with the help of Jacory Harris not caring which jersey he threw to. With all the injuries in their secondary (almost as many as ours), McGloin could throw all over them today.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:19 PM ^
Did they even mention CFB during the halftime show? I flipped back 3 separate times and every time they were talking about the NFL.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:21 PM ^
Did RR have a post game presser today? Any post game dickhead comments by Hope?
November 13th, 2010 at 4:22 PM ^
Verne Lundquist and Danielson are insufferable. They're clearly rooting for Auburn to win this game so the SEC will have a National Championship representative. Georgia gets an interception and Lundquist just says "intercepted" like he's disappointed with absolutely no inflection. That's just awful. Have some journalistic integrity.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:22 PM ^
Slippery Rock lost 38-42
November 13th, 2010 at 4:24 PM ^
TD # 2!
EDIT: MOXY also
November 13th, 2010 at 4:24 PM ^
Moxie to infinity
November 13th, 2010 at 4:24 PM ^
TD Penn State!!! This is now very interesting.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:24 PM ^
So how exactly was McGloin a walk-on?
November 13th, 2010 at 4:25 PM ^
It's a great question. I think he was the MVP of the Ohio v Pennsylvania high school all star game too.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:26 PM ^
November 13th, 2010 at 4:24 PM ^
the kid with moxy has a pair of passing tds
November 13th, 2010 at 4:24 PM ^
Musberger just broke out moxie. Here comes the four INT second half for McGloin.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:38 PM ^
Does that nullify all the previous ones?
November 13th, 2010 at 4:24 PM ^
Not that surprising, but Georgia is just rolling through Auburn's defense. 14-7 about half way through the 1st quarter. Neither team might punt this game the way things are goin.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:28 PM ^
First punt for Auburn. This is a big moment in the game for Georgia if they can put up points here.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:25 PM ^
Every time Musberger says "moxie" take a shot. I'd advise at least 10 fifths to be prepared.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:26 PM ^
UPSET ALERT:
San Deigo State forces a 3-and-out for TCU to open, then drives the field for a score. TCU's ensuing possession, defensive end of the Aztecs gets around, forces a fumble in the end zone, TOUCHDOWN AZTECS.
14-0 SDSU over TCU, 9:16 left in 1st Q.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:29 PM ^
herbie sounds nervous as hell!! HAHA
November 13th, 2010 at 4:29 PM ^
Minnesota, of all teams, has held McGloin, Cousins and Scheelhaase under 50% completions the last three weeks. Weird year in CFB.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:30 PM ^
TCU is down to San Diego St 14-0 in the first quarter.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:32 PM ^
21 2 ND come on Utah
November 13th, 2010 at 4:32 PM ^
Notre Dame is now up 21-3. What the hell? Watch they'll win against Utah, but lose to Army and USC
November 13th, 2010 at 4:36 PM ^
You have not watched enough of those three teams' games this season if you're saying that with surprise. Army has been unusuall solid this year. They have this linebacker that must be the Waterboy. The guy jumps snaps with precision. Leaps over the center and can tackle a quarterback before he can even hand the ball off.
USC is obviously nothing to brush off.
Utah, as I've been saying, hasn't been that good this year. USC >> Utah, even with their porous secondary.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:33 PM ^
Has JoePa even brought a team to Columbus since he's been coaching? Records are falling and they aren't even good records.
First TD in Columbus
Highest point total in Cbus - 13 (??????)
First forward pass in Cbus (I may have made that one up)
November 13th, 2010 at 4:33 PM ^
Pryor is an awful quarterback. He's a great athlete, but a terrible QB.
That said, I wouldn't mind him not "suffering another year" in Columbus.
November 13th, 2010 at 6:05 PM ^
...Pryor looks like an undersized power forward attempting to play QB. Just a weird fit.
He has good speed, but awful acceleration. His movement does not look fluid to my eye at all, even moreso when he is attempting to pass.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:33 PM ^
TD Georgia. Wow.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:38 PM ^
We'll see if they can keep it up.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:34 PM ^
it happens, man
November 13th, 2010 at 4:36 PM ^
Utah looks like garbage. I can't believe they were in the top 10 a week ago.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:38 PM ^
All hell is breaking loose in college football today thus far. Minnesota won, Wisconsin put up 83, Iowa lost, Auburn, Ohio State, and TCU are all losing. If I was Oregon I would be afraid to take the field today.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:40 PM ^
And Michigan's defense finally showed up.
