Hagerup could be awesome

...one very big mistake...in 3 games.
He's going to be very good for a long time. I am not worried at all.

I just wonder if we can petition to have him punt the ball through the goal posts for field goals...
It's bad when your HC has to do a shout out to the student body after every game...

dropped the snap on the missed field goal so that is not on the kicker.

One mistake if you don't count all his shanks.

Yeah, Hagerup was booting the crap out of the ball. He hit the top of the goalpost from the opposite 45 yard line on one of those punts.

Zolton didn't look all that great in his freshman year. He has gotten better.
Most punter needs to speed up their delivery and they're nervous because they are on the field in front of thousands of people. Hagerup will be fine once he calms down and get some more experience.

Exactly. I think he'll be fine once he gets used to it.

To say nothing of the fact that they're trying to get the ball off while a bunch of really fast, often really big guys are heading straight for them trying to block their punt.
I'm familiar with Hagerup's high school, and I'm comfortable saying that while he's super-talented, a lot of these things (number of people in the stands, caliber of guys trying to block his punts) are probably several orders of magnitude above what he's used to.

i hope he can do it all for us!

coming back from halftime he was absolutely booming kicks. Hit most of them from the other side of the 50 through the back of the endzone into the stands. they were probably about 60 yard kicks, but closer to 50 when you count from the line of scrimmage

Special teams are things we don't speak of.

Watching his warm ups was quite impressive. He managed to kick it from the fifty to the stands with 4.0 secs of hang time. (acording to the stop watch on my phone)

Mature with age like a fine wine...he will be an emperor in no time.
