Hagerup could be awesome

Since I was at the game, I was able to watch Hagerup punting during half time warmups, and he looked fantastic. The long-snapper was lined up at the 40, and he was booting it consistently through the back of the endzone. Sometimes he was even able to hit the wall on the fly. Just guesstimating, but that was probably a 55 or 56 yard punt. On the fly!! Now, obviously, he has to get over his nerves. But if he can, it could be awesome.

Yeah, Hagerup was booting the crap out of the ball. He hit the top of the goalpost from the opposite 45 yard line on one of those punts.

Zolton didn't look all that great in his freshman year.  He has gotten better.

Most punter needs to speed up their delivery and they're nervous because they are on the field in front of thousands of people.  Hagerup will be fine once he calms down and get some more experience.

To say nothing of the fact that they're trying to get the ball off while a bunch of really fast, often really big guys are heading straight for them trying to block their punt.

I'm familiar with Hagerup's high school, and I'm comfortable saying that while he's super-talented, a lot of these things (number of people in the stands, caliber of guys trying to block his punts) are probably several orders of magnitude above what he's used to.

coming back from halftime he was absolutely booming kicks.  Hit most of them from the other side of the 50 through the back of the endzone into the stands.  they were probably about 60 yard kicks, but closer to 50 when you count from the line of scrimmage
