Outstanding RichRod interview (video)
An RR interview where the interviewer actually talks about football?

whoa whoa whoa... is that a beer bottle behind them? First handguns, and now alcohol? No Jimmeh Harbaugh wouldn't do this!

Looks like a good video, good find. Can't watch it now, but there will be a nagging voice in my head all day to watch this.

I think RR is a great coach and recruiter - plus he has Barwis. Please let him stay!

Thanks for posting - this is an uncommon richrod interview.
It's probably the least relevant moment of the entire piece, but his remarks on the couple caught in game film is hilarious. I think it makes him seem more human, rather than hearing his coach-speak over and over again.

Good find. I can't wait to watch this with sound.

It's nice to just listen to RR talk football. It really does astound me how much people can be students of the entire game of football. The man is a genius.

I've never been to that blog, but i'm surprised that the Michigan blog link is Maize n brew vice the most travelled blog on the internet: MGoBlog.

That's because it's an SBNation blog linking to other SBNation blogs, and Maize n Brew is the Michigan represntative for SBNation.

Why can't the MSM be more like this?

Thanks - good interview. Wish more people could see that side of him. I'm glad he is our coach - I don't think he'll be going anywhere - good things are coming.

Amazing that RR took 20 minutes out of fall camp (after two practices that day) to give a sit-down, film-study interview to a blogger (and not a terribly well-known blogger at that). Congrats to Mr. Filler for scoring the interview and then for actually asking insightful football-related questions. I did notice at the end he mentioned having "talked to Rita" about the gameday experience, so perhaps Filler is a family friend, but however he got the time, he absolutely nailed the interview. Great, great job.
And man, do I love RR's attitude. For those who feel that he seems more optimistic in his pressers this year, watch this interview for even more confirmation. RR clearly loves his job, loves Michigan, and is pumped up for this season. After all the BS he has been through, that is great to see.

that the AD has made it clear that the Coach will be given a fair opportunity to prove himself and taken some of the pressure off RR? I just get the feeling that Brandon has said something that lets RR know he can coach without looking over his shoulder all of the time.

Just adding my voice.
This was a great 20 minutes! I'm already a fan of RR, but this was fantastic! This was really cool. Thanks for pointing it out!

I'm very glad Rodriguez is our coach. I have been since his hire and will continue to be. I always knew in my heart that great things were coming with him and I still believe that.

Thanks very much for posting this video. Work kept getting in the way so I had to pause it a number of times and it took me about 2 hours to finish it. It was refreshing to see RR in his natural element getting to break down film and talk about football.

Graham is a friend of mine from college and he produces really good stuff. Check out his blog more often. I had the same problem with pausing every few minutes to take calls.

This is the best video i've watched in a while. You can see the confidence that RR has that he hasn't had in the past two seasons. Finally a journalist that talks about football and doesn't sit there and press RR for a QB starter or slide in any low blows with the off the field crap. Great to see RR breaking down plays, it shows his true excitement of the system and the fact that the offense is going to be better again this year is going to be so scary for other teams. 4 days fellas. GO BLUE

Maybe I missed it from using RSS content while @ work, but I think this warrants a front page mention.
