I didn't say that. I would rather not have someone who backs Mike Vick and says unvelievably stupid things to reporters. I would rather have an actual QB for the next 3 years rather than someone who keeps having plenty of potential after every season passes. I would also rather use the bathroom than shit in a cooler, so I guess we can see a lot of the differences between a UM fan and an OSU fan, can't we.

at quarterback who has won one Big Ten game?

I mean, I'll give you some credit: Denard Robinson looked better in the spring than he did last year, but to say he - or Forcier - is any better than Pryor at this point is just ludicrous homerism.

Stick to the ad hominem attacks, bright boy. I don't think you know much at all about the game of football.

Right, because what happened in the past is inexorably fated to happen, in perpetuity, in the future forever, right? Because Pryor didn't improve greatly for much of last year, he won't improve this year - OR EVER! That's how most career arcs go, right?

Personally I'm hoping Pryor's career in the next 2 years ends up going a lot like Tony Hayward's career in the last 2 months. But I agree that it's foolish to assume he won't improve simply because he didn't last offseason.

Meaningful statistics have an N value > 1.

Thats not what I said. I said it doesn't look like, in 2 years, he has progressed much at being a QB, therefore unless it just clicks for him, I don't see him making a heisman-esque improvement next year. I actually think he took a step backwards this year. The kid just didn't impress me. Was he great against Oregon? Yes. Was he great against a poor Michigan defense? Not at all. If the question is do I think Pryor will do pretty much the same thing next year as he did this year, my answer is yes. If the questions is will he be great against shitty teams and then let the defense win the game against good teams? Yes. Sorry I don't see an amazing QB, but his arm-punting is not what wins OSU games, it is the defense. His being a great player is less about his being a great QB and more about being a good leader of the offense.

If he rolls up video game stats?  OSU won a fancy trophy with Craig freaking Krenzel "managing" the offense and winning with defense.  I'll take it any way we can get it.  I don't care if Pryor doesn't complete a pass all season if a NC is the end result.  Living up to hype, rolling up stats and winning a HT has gotten OSU exactly nothing recently.  06 was stats galore and a HT, got us a nice ass kicking.  Pick your poison, I know which I want.

I don't give a shit what OSU does, I was talking about Pryor as a QB. When did all the buckeyes start reading MGoBlog? When did all the buckeyes start reading period?

When I first read all of the various cyber-lists with no Michigan players on them and predictions of Michigan to finish in the middle of the pack, I was irritated.  Now, though, I am happy with every list that comes out without a Michigan player on it.  The players have to know what is going on and have to be profoundly insulted at being ranked among the mediocre at best.  AFAIC, it all just helps RR motivate the team even more.

This Michigan team is in a great position.  Nobody except some of the fanbase expect them to do anything.   When Michigan wins 8 or 9 this year, it will be seen as "overachievement."  It's been a long time since we have been able to hear the team described in that manner.  I can't wait to see a supremely motivated Michigan team whose age and talent level has finally caught up with their will to win.

Michigan is going to surprise a lot of people this year.  As for those who underrate them, they had better get used to hearing four of the sweetest words in the English language, at least on the giving end: "I told you so."

I think the biggest thing you have to look at at least when looking at the last 3 games (Penn, Iowa, Mich) of the year with OSU is that he rarely passed the ball. We ran the ball on everyone because they knew they could win that way, especially after the Penn State game. Once the Oregon game rolled around he had a good amount of time to actually work on his passing and I think it showed in the Rose Bowl.

I've seen him throw at least one 45-50 yd td pass in split second check down (I don't remember which game) more effortlessly than me tossing my shorts next to the nightstand before hitting the sack.  That alone gives me nightmares of the kid's potential.
