I think this is fair. I think most would agree we didn't play as well as we should have and the MSU loss prob takes a bit of shine off the big ten as a whole. But man I'll take two sub par games and the road that's laid out ahead in a heart beat.

I'm not sure any of the seedings matter at this point.  We play A&M on Thursday and any team good enough to take down North Carolina by 20 is good enough to beat anybody.  We have our work cut of for us regardless.

Survive and advance.

The general consensus among experts is that Loyola was underseeded as an 11. We were 29th in RPI and 1.5 underdogs to Miami in the opener. His reasoning on why we’re 14th are: 1 bad loss in December, our conference is bad (it’s not) and we won both games on buzzer beaters. It’s like this guy didn’t watch any college basketball until the tournament started.

Simply is about how well the team played first 2 games, and who they beat to get there. To me, just means we are lucky to be in S16 and haven't played well. Both probably true. Survive & advance.

The good: I was really nervous coming into this tourney because both Montana and Houston looked really good (to me) on paper and I liked their resumes. Given the late starts and time off I was really nervous about our energy level. I believe we had the toughest potential first two games for a 3 seed, but I can't confirm that with data. So far the team has met my expectations given the circumstances.

Bad: I picked TXAM to beat NC because they looked great early in the season and seemed to be back to that level of play. NC had been inconsistant all year and who knows which team would show up. The SEC was good this year and TXAM didn't have a bad loss. They had a bad stretch, but I believe they were missing key players over that span.

This will be a tough game. TXAM may have a difficult time with our spacing and could get frustrated like Purdue did a few weeks ago. They will try to get Mo and Teske in early foul trouble.

Can't wait!
