Congrats to the new Wolverines. (academically)

Apparently the early admission decisions were sent out the same day as footballs early signing day. Congrats to all of the new Wolverines. By the way if you got deferred, don’t panic. Only about 50 to 60% of the class is filled in Early Decision.

Daughter was accepted to LSA. She gave us her Wolverine portal account so we actually figured it out before she did. We barged into her varsity basketball practice with balloons and roses.

Definitely a day we'll never forget!

I got deferred from the School of Engineering today. While I’m happy that I didn’t get rejected (Despite high math grades I’m horrible at it when it comes to standardized tests) I’m kinda bummed that I didn’t get my decision and have to wait a while to know again. Hopefully I get in, but who knows?

Write a letter of continued interest, shouldn't be more than a page, about how you're still very interested in Michigan and you'd be excited to attend if admitted, and it's your first choice (even if you're not sure but it's Michigan and you should be because it's the best). Schools are concerned a lot about yield, how many admitted students matriculate, so they love to get this stuff. Other things you can do include attending info sessions or UM visits to your high school and visit campus for an official tour (I believe you can do a central campus tour and an engineering tour so that's two!). They love to see demonstrated interest and I know some universities keep track of this sort of thing. Good luck!

Class of 2022... My wife and I were both '96.  He is still waiting to hear from Ross but step one in the books.

An incredibly emotional day for my wife and me.
