Michigan Stadium opened and hosted its first game.
The 1927 season opener against the Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops.
Michigan took the game easily, 33-0.

It's printed right on the ticket -- 2 PM. The big radio operators had set that time slot in order to follow the Pirates / Reds game where Pittsburgh clinched the pennant. Of course, that game stretched longer than the 2 hour window they had alloted, so listeners had to tune to the Michigan Broadcasting Company for the first 17 minutes or so of the broadcast.
