OT: Give Blood !
Hi all - As you'd probably expect, the hurricane exacerbated the need for blood. There's a real shortage. When I went in to donate at the Red Cross, I loaded their app. They keep track of teams, and of course I signed up for the U of M team. I learned something unthinkable. We are #16 nationally.
This puts us behind Harvard, Yale, and Boston Red Sox fans. This cannot stand! We ARE the Leaders and Best for a reason! If you'd like to help out the people of Texas, download the Red Cross app, make yourself an appointment, and head on in. It's one small way we can help those in need, and we should never lose in a philanthropic drive, much less to Ivy Leaguers.
So, let's help our fellow Americans, eat some raw gator, and as always, GO BLUE !

I actually already did yesterday - there is some O-negative heading in the direction of Texas that will suddenly have an urge to hop onto MGoBlog and send wayward people to Bolivia.
Glad to do it, in all seriousness.

I give twice a year even though I hate needles. I have common peasant blood but I figure it goes to a good cause. I would give to Harvey but I gave a week before the hurricane hit and I believe there's a limit to how often you can donate.
