OT-Aroldis Chapman gets the start in Toledo on Sunday
I searched but didn't see this posted anywhere else
For all you baseball fans in Ann Arbor you have the opportunity to make the trip down to Toledo and see a promising youngster really push the radar gun.

If you are wondering who this kid is he is a southpaw cuban defector in the Reds farm system that can touch over a hundred miles per hour with some really electric stuff. He has a way to go in his development but unless he is injured there is a good chance he is going to be striking a lot of batters out in the majors in the next couple years. Here is your chance to watch him make the Mudhens batters look like fools for a mere nine dollars.
Thanks for posting that. Every scout who watches Chapman absolutely raves about him. For a small market team like the Reds to commit $30 million to a guy who has never pitched a day in the majors really describes what kind of stuff he has. He almost made the Reds coming out of spring training, and if he performs he'll be in the majors by June.
That's great and all, but beware of Dusty Baker ruining his arm. Look at what happened to Volquez....all the strain on his arm at such a young age and his career might be over.
I wish I was still in Ann Arbor....I'd definitely take the trip...much like I did to Midland when Clayton Kershaw was there.
watching a future cy young winner while eating a $25 sundae served in a helmet? done.
If it's good weather I might hit 5/3rd for that.
is pitching Sunday as well for Harrisburg... what a day for pitching prospects.
