No luck so far.
Live streaming audio for every game is like 15-20 bucks on mlb.com for the entire season -- absolutely worth it, I've subscribed for several years now. You don't get blacked out for your home team's games on there like you do with the MLB.tv streaming live video.
I was just about to start a thread for the game. Job thief.
Guilty as charged, I guess.
Great to see Maggs off to a good start. But not being able to drive in RISP is a painful reminder of last year, ableit it's against Greinke.
No luck here either with a stream, but the Tigers jumped out to a 1-0 lead thanks to a Maggs double, Cabrera walk and Guillen reaching on an error allowing Maggs to score (Jackson flew out and Damon grounded out to start the game, Inge struck out to end the inning). A nice start causing Greinke to throw a lot of pitches.
UPDATE: 1-0 after 1: Verlander gave up a leadoff single to DeJesus, Podsednik sacrificed him to 2B, then Billy Butler and Rick Ankiel grounded out.
rbi double for Guillen!
Bunting in the first off Verlander, KC knows they are up against it today. 100 mph seems likely
Verlander looked fairly sharp, allowed a lead off single, but then retired the rest of the side in order.
a big year out of Maggs and Cabrera to have a chance. I think this team is going to have to score lots of runs especially when we throw our 4th and 5th.
Win at least 81 games this year!
I'm beginning to think there's no stream out there. Bummer.
Automatic out Gerald Laird hits into his first automatic out on the first pitch he sees.
Or just take 3 pitches everytime he is up. at least he would make the pitcher throw 3 pitches instead of 1. And with a bunt, at least he might force the pitcher to move.
Don't kid yourself, he'd whiff on three straight bunt attempts--but at least the pitcher would have thrown three pitches, so that's a plus.
If Laird could hit pitches as well as he hits bouncers you could pencil him in for .330 every year.
Greinke struggling a bit with his control today. Hopefully the Tigers can take advantage before he finds it.
Polanco went 3-5 with a grand slam for Philly today. Not complaining that we lost him, but at least getting draft picks for him would have been nice.
but for some reason 97.1 The Ticket figures Mike Valenti ranting about a no-call in the MSU-Butler game is more important than the Tigers game. Typical Valenti. Is there a 1270 AM online?

They don't stream games online, b/c of MLB restrictions. Above is a website with all the stations. I couldn't find a stream there, but sometimes a station will work. If you find one let me know.
There's your first Tigers strikeout of the year--Verlander gets Willie Bloomquist swinging
Two run home run Betancourt. 2-1 Royals.
Two run bomb to deep left ceter for punk-ass Betancourt.
Stayed alive long enough to Jack one. Damn, that hurts.
Ouch, after getting ahead of Yuniesky Betancourt 1-2, Verlander got him to foul a few pitches off, but he drew a 3-2 count and homered to put KC ahead 2-1 in the 2nd.
Verlander should of threw Betancourt a slider, when he was ahead in the count
I didn't know Rick Knapp logged onto mgoboard...and during games too!
All snark aside, I bet JV knows what he is doing more than armchair pitching coaches.
Aren't message boards here for the casual observer to say what they think should have been done? Or are they here for Tom Izzo threads. Or are they here for guys from Wyoming to reminisce about Yellowstone?
Casual observers and intelligent statements aren't mutually exclusive. JV is a candidate for the Cy Young every year, he knows what he is doing when on the mound. If you want to call him out for one bad pitch over the course of a game, I think you are missing the forest through the trees.
If you are outside of the metro-Detroit area, you probably thought you couldn't watch this on TV... FALSE!
MLB Extra Innings is putting on a free sample and showing all games. Tigers game is on GM10 channel of MLB Extra Innings. Look in your guide for what channel this is specifically because it varies. (it is on 369 here in WI with Charter)
a VERY pleasant surprise to say the least. enjoy.
You just sold me on leaving work to watch the rest of the game.
Since giving up that home run, Verlander has retired 8 in a row with 4 K's(I think). He looks sharp.
Is starting to settle down, that was a solid inning. Lets get the bats going here.
Oh, and for those looking for audio streams who have an iPhone, there's an app for that. The MLB At Bat app does streaming audio, the app is 15 bucks.
Is it me, or does it seem really hazy over the infield (especially home plate)? Did KC set off fireworks before the game or something?
I'm surprised you haven't noticed it before -- that's the dark cloud that's been hanging over the Royals franchise for the last 20 years or so.
KC's outfield has a waterfall. If its slightly windy lots of time you get a nice mist that disrupts the outfield cameras
4-1 Kansas City. Verlander gave up a two run single to Billy Butler. On the plus side, did anyone see the wicked faceplant by David DeJesus while stealing second?
It looked like he'd never slid before. Jeez that was ugly.
J-Ver getting hit... Tigers not hitting... KC beating us... unreasonable fear running rampant... the season is lost.
What are your thoughts on the Blackhwaks calling you one of their own and even throwing Bob Probert heritage Night earlier this year?
As a Wings fan in attendance at the UC that night, I found it hilarious.
Laird/Sizemore/Everett/Jackson (7,8,9,1) = low RBI production.
Zumaya hits 102 on the gun, throws a few good breaking balls. Good to see him healthy, hopefully he can be a major contributor.
Guillen, Inge and Laird not taking advantage of that potential rally was pretty disappointing
Now THIS rally is more like it!
A-Jack and Geico coming through big!!
I don't know if the Tiger's offense was that good or KC's bullpen is that bad, but either way a 6 run 7th is nice to see.
... this is what you call "feasting" on an inferior bullpen.
Nice kitty:
Austin Jackson throws out Jason Kendall at the plate. Maybe Granderson being gone won't be as bad as I think.
to the pro's Austin!
I was in transit for the Tigers big inning. Oh well, maybe that means I shouldn't watch the game haha.
