Ty Wheatley has Begun Following A Bunch of Western MI 'Croots

Saw it on another thread; worth the mention in it's own. Granted it's not so many recruits today as it would have been 3 days ago considering Fleck took a bunch with him!  He also just followed Darius Phillips who is the Jabrill Peppers/Jourdan Lewis of WMU!

Kinda a bad career move for Wheatley. I think he may be looking at flipping a few PWO's late in the cycle or Bama is stirring the pot.. Why take that job when:

1. His son is still at Michigan and he has more influence in his development.for a potential pro career?  

2. If he sticks around, he could become an O.C. at a big-time university under one of the top 3 coaches in college?

3. He would set himself up to move on to a major program (hopefully he stays) which is worth millions more dollars for him than at a mediocre MAC school who will never pay him what he could potentially make staying put?

4.  He is probably Michigans best recruiter outside of Harb. himself? This makes him more valuable to Michigan because not only can he teach the game but he can close the deal on the most covered recruits (which is evidenced in how fast the RB position at UM gets filled, compared to other positions).

5. He can ask for more money now and I think he probably gets it.?

Bottom line is African-American H.S. players and their parents want to see others who have had successful college and pro careers on the staff because sometimes they relate better to what they are experiencing going through the recruiting process. A poor kid from Inkster who wnet on to becime a star at Michigan and have a solid career in the NFL is a hell of a story. Stories like his close the deal.
