Rb rotation if we land Harris
With all the news regarding Harris being positive for the good guys, I cant help but be excited for the rotation of running backs on the roster for the following 3-5 years.
I have to say I was very impressed and encouraged by the freshman backs this year, and apart from two or three games very disappointed by D. Smith as the starting tailback. (aside from pass blocking ability) I believe Chris Evans was the most dynamic back on the roster followed by Karan Higdon. With that said, landing Harris would not only make the back field that much better but I think the best stable of running backs in the country except for Alabama.
Harris- Speed, Power, Size, Can catch out of the backfield.
Evans- Speed, agility, can catch out of the backfield and in the slot.
Higdon- A balanced all around back but no elite at any particular ability.
Walker- Not convinced just yet on Walker. I believe he would be servicable but not an Evans or Harris.
The rest are Kurt Taylor and O'Maury Samuels Who I believe If we get Harris will not end up in this class.
The key will be the offensive line development moving foward. If they jel and our running backs compete like the way we belive they will with our coaching staff. Close games that we could not quite finish like Ohio State and Florida State will not happen again.

Bummer. I would have liked to see a Isaac/Evans combo against FSU.

We really didn't need another N.H. thread.
What's next, the "What are the changes Najee wins the Heisman at UM?" thread?

Not what are his chances to win the Heisman, but what are his chances to break Archie Griffin's record and become the first 3 time Heisman winner, and then have some sparty assfuck dis him in a B1G title trophy presentation 30 years later? (sparty's next title) 3 to 5 I'd say.

I'll bite...why not? I make fantasy depth charts years out. Who am I to judge?
- I'm going to say Harris and Higdon share De'Veon Smith's carries.
- Chris Evans gets the same amount of carries at RB. (stay with me)
- Due to the departure of Jake Butt, Michigan runs more sets with Harris/Higdon and then Chris Evans ALSO on the field in a Curtis Samuel type role - thus getting more carries than he did this season. But also more catches than this year.
- Kareem Walker gets Higdon's number of carries from this year.
- Kingston Davis or one of the other freshman clean up Ty Isaac's carries from this year.
This obviously assumes a transfer. If no transfer, give Isaac...Higdon's carries from this year (#4) and Walker Isaac's carries from this year (#5).

I like that thought. Part of what makes Evans so attractive is he comes in at the perfect moment to pop off a 15-20-45 yard play on a gassed Defense. Smith may not have been a game changing back but he played his roles to fullest of his abilities...

How about the rotation without Harris.
1A) Walker/Isaac (Bigger Back)
1B) Evans
2)Higdon/Walker
3) Higdon/Walker
I like to think about that more.
