Usually those fundraiser things have a picture of a thermometer and the closer you get to the goal, the more of the thermometer is colored-in. But for Kiffin, there should be a picture of a bag, and as more money is raised the bag should be filled with douche.

I've been hating on Speight today, but watching some of these pocket QBs today makes me not feel so bad about our situation. No wonder College is moving to power spread, nobody can throw

Early season rankings are almost exclusively based on the performance of the season prior. 11 is INSANELY HIGH for a team that slumped to a 5-7 season the year before. They shouldn't have been ranked at all coming into this season. Come on don't be obtuse.

Edit: They weren't ranked coming into this season. They went from unranked to 11 with one 3 point 2-OT win over ND. That's absurd any way you slice it.

Texas always has a ridiculous amount of talent on its roster. They may have gone 5-7 last year, but they did beat OU and Baylor--so there was never any question Texas could be really good if they got their act together. And they started off this season beating ND. So I don't see why it's so surprising that they would be ranked #11 three weeks in. I don't necessarily think Texas is the eleventh-best team in the country myself, but the notion that they should be ranked lower because of how they've done in past seasons I think is kind of ridiculous.

Normally even when an unranked team narrowly beats a top 10 team, they enter the top 25 maybe top 20. Vaulting them to 11 after that one win is...premature and abnormal based on my time watching/obsessing over CFB. And it's not even like they dominated ND either. That's what is ridiculous to me. If they had any momentum at all coming out of last season, I could maybe justify it, but they've been a tire fire for years talent or not. Also the B12 sucks ass.

Is it just me or is there some terrible defense in college football? I don't get it. I know offenses now are really high powered and explosive but man, some of these teams can't play defense for shit. And a lot of them, I know for a fact have talent on that side of the ball. I'm looking at you Notre Dame, FSU, Texas, etc. That's honestly the biggest reason why I'm not worried about our defense and some the early mistakes they've been making. Even without 2 very important starters and a key depth player, we still look much better on defense compared to the rest of the country.
