Urban Meyer and his Battle with Mental Illnesses

I'll be honest-- I find this article a bit troubling.
All you have to do to address your mental illness is get yourself into a new routine, read a book about leadership, and change your attitude! Oh, and stop taking ambien. OK.
He acknowledged he had a problem, but I guess I just don't see a lot of long-term wisdom in the way he chose to address it.

Learning coping mechanisms, and being able to talk about your mental illness is a large part of the recovery process from mental illnesses.

Key word: Part.

I agree that it is a part, but it doesn't mean that Urban isn't doing the other parts as well. Also the goal of treatment is to return the individual to pre-morbid/baseline functioning, and some people can achieve that without medications. Maybe Urban is one of them, or maybe he is taking medications, but did not feel like disclosing it to Bleacher Report.

He suffered an acute breakdown. Very different. Article is intellectually dishonest.
However, if it helps people who are suffering reach out to get help, it makes up for much of its disingenous content.

I liked the part where they talk about the B1G Championship Game loss in 2013 and then in the next paragraph it mentions that he avoids pizza.
