I know Minnesota is kinda awful, but we only won by five at home.  This game is more important than the Purdue game IMO because we don't want to have a "bad loss" on our resume.  Play him some meaningful minutes in the first half and hope you don't need him the rest of the way.

I would like to think they asked him already... But either way having him back is a big deal if we want to make a run.
I figure 3 more wins are neccessary... 1 comes in minny.

Not really! Selfishly we all would love to see him back on the floor. However if he feels like my next wrong step could be my last then it's probably best for all parties that he sits out and gets ready for draft workouts. It's a big risk both ways you look at it. If he plays and re-injures the foot he may be in Joel Embid territory as far as his health, but if he does not comeback scouts will question his durability as well as getting passed up by other players who are performing better this season

Was at Crisler and poked my head in on the practice. Caris was participating in full 5 v 5 scrimmage. Looked great! Expect between 10-20 minutes at most against Minnesota, and hopefully between 15 and 30 against Purdue.

but if he gets injured again he is going to be seen as "always hurt" guy and will have become an outright flyer for an NBA team.  He most certainly does not want that.  I think he is weighing the potential upside of playing really well down the stretch with the possible catastrophic consequences of another injury.  Truth is, if he comes back and gets hurt again he is a second rounder.

but probably to late to salvage this season..I expect the nose dive to continue tonight and we will lose to the lowly gophers....that will be the final nail in the coffin
