I especially like the part about the family feeling he got.

And even more important, he, as far as we know, has never been accused of a crime, so this is all that we will ever hear about him.

The team needs a back like Hopkins. It would be nice to see him contribute this year. The running game always works better with a bruiser, a speed burner, and a small, shifty guy who can stop, start, and cut on a dime. Usually, it works out that most defenses have problems with at least one of the three styles.

He's not from the state of Michigan, so he obviously can't be that good of a recruit. Harumph! Texas? What good players have they produced lately? Give me a non-MAC recruited fullback from Macomb county any day of the week...

Captain Kirk (Herbstreit) and "the Sharper Image" (drew) think of him? Thats really what counts

We are going to be young young young next year at RB. It would make me feel better if V Smith was 100%. I'm nervous about how ready he'll be.

Anyone think Hopkins has been underrated by the recruiting services?
Also, I remember reading an article where Hopkins stated that a Big Ten Coach told him to drop his ocmmittment to Michigan because he would not fit the spread.
Any idea on which team that was?

he becomes a super-power back like John Clay at Wisc or like what we had with Wheatley or Biakabutuka
