Who in their right mind would ever choose to live there? I never understood that. No offense, but your town smells like undigested cottage cheese. Every time I drive home for the holidays I have to speed through there and plug my nose for at least two miles.

It's Iowa. Every town stinks. Its a great place to live. I enjoy hunting and fishing, that is lacking in this area. Other than that, this town is great. Kids love it, wife loves it. I will move to somewhere with better outdoor opportunities some day but for now, SC will do.

I'm mostly joking. It's kinda a joke with those who live in Sioux Falls who travel through there. Was not trying to offend your place of residence. I know it's the Tyson plant that causes the stink.

It's actually SiouxBiochemical that smells much worse. They do some groundbreaking work that my friend tells me about. All I know is it is funky. SiouxPreme, the packing house, does smell bad. But that is Iowa for ya.

NW Iowa is the land of the giant Dutch people - always good HS hoops teams.

This loss will be put into my repertoire for tomorrow, as I will be in Cedar Rapids watching the U-M game somewhere, and the Iowa game will be on at the same time.

I imagine it'll be tough...as you stated the Iowa game is on at the same damn time, so, likely going to be hard to find Michigan...and Rutgers, for that matter! Maybe Parlor City down in Czech-NewBo area. Lots of tvs, maybe once could be spared depending on where you sit for an alternative game. Pretty decent food. Bar-type food but some decent sandwiches, pizza, etc.. One of better spots for beer in the "city", 56 taps, usually pretty good stuff as well.

Thanks for the Parlor City recommendation! We had a nice time there, and the server, who was outstanding, put the Michigan game on for us! Food was good, and they had a lot of beer choices. I will pass on the good word about Parlor City.

Actually yes, I was driving from Montana to Colorado a couple of years ago and stopped in Cody, Wyoming for the night rodeo with my then 13 year old son. Pretty cool.

Most of you don't recall Syracuse losing to...yep...Le Moyne a few years back. Pretty sure that 'Cuse team ended up a quality team, running deep into the tourney (god I hope it wasn't a Devendorf team, he was such a scab). This doesn't mean shit (in regards to Iowa).
