Questions for the Vets about season tickets
I know there was a thread the other day for the new season ticket holders, but I went back to it and there were some questions left unanswered. Hopefully there are some Big House vets that can answer some season ticket questions for some of us new season ticket holders.
I will get started with a few.
When do we get our seat assignments?
I know there are more than a few people that requested sections 21-25. What are the chances that those who made requests will get non endzone seats?
Do you get offered a few choices or do they just give you a seat or seats?
Also, I was looking at other schools season ticket sites, and I really like the virtual venue that other schools use. It seems like it makes the seat selection process easier.
I really like the virtual venue platform that other schools use. it seems like it makes the seat selection process alot easier. Do any of you think that michigan will use virtual venue or something similar in the near future?
This will be my 3rd year as a season ticketholder, and I did not receive a choice back then...so my thought will be with this type of hype (Harbaugh!!!!) that you will probably be given seats and that will be it.
I went from row 93 down quite a ways and over a section for no charge...very happy with my seats!

My family has been in the south endzone for about 40 years. I've sat all over the stadium through ticket trades, and still prefer my seats. I'm centered on the goal posts, on the aisle, and about halfway down the bowl. I have an amazing view of plays forming, but am still high enough to see the north endzone.
are in Section 36 and I am in the top row (96) - at first I wasn't sold on being that high up but you really get to see everything all at once.
Added bonus in the top row there is an empty row behind you for your stuff or for people to come visit.
Also on the really hot games you get the breeze from outside the stadium (and no one yelling at you "down in front")

Seat assignments late May/early June before ticket packs and general public sales begin.
You have a chance to be upgraded if you requested those seats (based on availability). You will be responsible for any upgraded PSD's. You will likely be slotted in the end zone. Everything is based on priority points as far as upgrades and sections and also when you applied.
You will not get a choice of seats.
Hope this helps.
Is the priority is given to Priority Point totals. Meaning even if you don't want to move to better class of seats but want to say be on the aisle, they will help with that. You send money as a lubricant :)
Secondary but also related, is the number of years you've been a season ticket holder.
Lastly there must be enough turnover to make the move you desire. Which I think there normally is a small amount of natural turnover, even in the best Michigan years. People move, have kids, change jobs, try to go pro in spear-fishing, in general allocate money to something else, etc.
Just keep asking, things will happen incrementally.
I asked long ago after a couple seasons in row 7 behind the goalpost crossbar, to move up about 3 rows and it was granted. Then I was relocated by expansion of the student section. I asked to move closer to the aisle and it was granted.
I don't have a silly amount of priority points. I am in the lowest tier. However 22 years as a season ticket holder apparently does not hurt either...

I am trying to purchase better season tickets and it appears you can do that by having someone transfer tickets to you that they no longer want and for you to pay a fee. Does anyone know more information on this? Also, is there a website dedicated to these transfers? Thanks.
