I just don't understand why they keep reinventing the super heroes and villains? I understand updating costumes etc. but changing pathos just seems pathetic and waters down the brand.

The characters are updated for current society that we live in. right now a man in a purple suit with white make up that giggles a little too much doesn't invoke the image of a villain.
Again I get the costumes per my statement it's the changing of the character pathos that seem idiotic.

Eh, I like it just fine. Takes balls to follow Ledger's performance. He has to take it a different direction. I would be more concerned with the other actors in this movie. Leto will be fine

I would say he looks like a hipster, but The Joker has always been a hipster anyways...... so good job.
