Thank you Mr. Martin for doing the right thing and getting the word out to end all speculation, shut up some of my friends and many other people who don't understand what a change would do to our program right now, and most importantly impress upon the recruits that there is no doubt he will be here next year, and hopefully many years beyond. Also mad props to me for my run-on sentences. I rock! We will be a machine. We just need to be patient. Hit the recruiting trail running and don't look back coach! Bring 'em in, coach 'em up, and get this thing turned around so all the haters get off your back. You have many of our support, though the media wants to make it seem as if it is something entirely different! Suggestions for LB coach anyone?

This is just Martin putting himself and his ego above the good of the program. He is so arrogant that he refuses to admit the huge mistake that he made in hiring Rich Rodriguez. Facts: Rich Rod has just capped off the 2 worst seasons in Michigan football since Don Draper ruled Madison Ave. and Kennedy was banging Marilyn in the White House. Last place in the Big Ten. 1-7 record in conference. No offensive improvement in conference, or defense for that matter either. Recruiting is down. They are now scrambling for "sleepers" lol. NCAA violations are possible. 2 non-bowl seasons in a row and loss of those valuable 15 practices leading up to the bowl. Team is disorganized on and off the field. Consistently turning the ball over and blowing assignments. THERE HAVE BEEN NO, REPEAT ABSOLUTELY NO Signs of Improvement at Michigan. What is shocking is that the Koolaid Suckers here are blindly supporting Suck Football. I pray that powerful and rich alums put the pressure on Martin and company and get Rich Rods ass out ASAP. Go Blue.

If not firing a college football coach after two years constitutes an AD "putting himself and his ego above the good of the program," then the entire country must be full of egotistical ADs, because NONE of them would have fired RichRod.

You're such a cockbag. I've never done this before in my life, and I've sworn I never will again but... god forgive me... GO CHEER FOR THE SCHOOL YOU ACTUALLY WENT TO AND LEAVE MICHIGAN FOR THOSE OF US WHO ACTUALLY GIVE A SHIT

"Recruiting is down. They are now scrambling for "sleepers" lol. NCAA violations are possible." "THERE HAVE BEEN NO, REPEAT ABSOLUTELY NO Signs of Improvement at Michigan." TH, your post is like a fun sponge. : P A few thoughts: Recruiting seems to be quite alive this weekend with some talented potential recruits in town for the game. There is still plenty of time left for the class of 2010. I suppose it depends on what standard you are measuring these things by, but much will depend on how things close out at: CB, S and LB. Bottom line, the class will fill up (currently at 20) and on signing day, we'll actually have an clear picture on whether recruiting is 'down' or not. RE: "THERE HAVE BEEN NO, REPEAT ABSOLUTELY NO Signs of Improvement at Michigan." Somehow watching today's game, I really can't agree with you that Forcier is not an improvement over Sheridan/Threet. I also see a lot of young players at various positions on the field that play hard and offer reason to believe they'll improve and the team's performance will improve: Omameh, V Smith, Roundtree, Roh immediately come to mind. Also, Martin could see an uptick and I curious about Koger/Webb and Stonum. Finally, thank the college football gods that Martin doesn't listen to you.

I've said it in another thread, I'm WV born and raised, but I've always been UM, before UM was cool :) RR 1st season at WVU had everyone here calling for his head, but look at his long term track record. I don't think Pat White was his saving grace, hundreds have said he pretty much invented the modern spread. Heck, Pat White wasn't even the starting QB his freshman year, he got promoted due to injury and RR was able to implement his offense because of it. It's been extremely hard on me the past couple of years if for no other reason I'm the only one within 100 miles flying a 3x5 'M' out front. He's got my support!
