It might slow the hemorrhaging of recruits; some might be willing to reconsider their decommitment, others might be willing to stick around to check out the new coach.

It might inspire the team to its best effort in a "Farewell to our Coach" glame this Saturday,.

It might add impetus to the new-coach search which, I hope and believe, is already underway.
