Famous Civil War general Stonewall Jackson-which would be a great name for a D-coordinator, BTW-was a hypochondriac with many strange medical beliefs.  He always rode bolt-upright (decided against using descriptive term "erect" for obvious reasons) in his saddle so his internal organs wouldn't crush each other, for instance.  He also always carried around fresh lemons to eat to ward off disease, though his source of supply was a mystery, what with the Union blockade and all.
