OT - Wofford senior Aerris Smith postgame interview
This is what college sports are all about. Consider me a Terrier fan until further notice.
I'm not afraid to admit I cried a little bit listening to this. I've had a soft spot for the Terriers since my brother in law did an internship there. I'll be rooting for Wofford in the dance, unless they play us of course! Stories like this and this one I saw yesterday are part of what makes sports so great.
Ok, just teared up at that one too. What a great thing for that young man to do. His comments to the press were great, too. I hope to be able to raise my son to be so respectful and thoughtful!

What a great story. What a tough kid and a great teammate.
That is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing.
or Tom Izzo. I wasn't expecting Willis Reed and Lou Gehrig rolled into one. Terrier!
According to Izzo, this Wofferd guy's season-long knee injuries and massively decreased productivity helped contribute greatly to Staee's failure to go 18-0 in the conference.
Sparty just could not catch a break this year, man.

This is simply tremendous. Great that he could go out with a win and trip to the dance.

Of course we drew Wofford in the Tourney. Now this guy has to cry for me to be happy. Damn you selection committee!
I was thinking that too! What are the chances?? I'd never even heard of Wofford before this guy, and now we are playing his team and hopefully dashing their March Madness dreams. Sigh.
