ESPN has pulled out of Big Ten media rights negotiations
I could see this happening:
Noon Game on FOX - OSU/Mich vs whomever or "Bigger" game
3:30 on NBC - ND vs Whomever ( this is the how they get ND to B1G) *to hell with ND
3:30 on FOX/CBS - Mid Tier conference games, maybe an OSU/Mich vs Maryland type
5:00 on FS1 - UCLA/USC vs whomever
8:00 CBS - OSU/Mich vs whomever or "Bigger" game
10:00 - UCAL/USC vs whomever
I don't think you bring USC and UCLA to the Big Ten to stick them on FS1 especially for a rivalry game.
My question is what happens with a Michigan at USC or OSU at UCLA game? That might end up being the best game of the week and one of the best games on their home schedule. Would FOX force the California schools to kickoff at 9AM PT? What about ND @ USC? Is FOX is passing on the ND @ USC rivalry game that would only come in the Big Ten inventory every other year? I guess it is possible if the ND@USC were the same week and OSU-Michigan.
Is their a provision in these contracts for not allowing Notre dame games to be aired on those networks unless they part of the B1G, would basically force Notre Dame to go to ESPN/ ABC .
Last thing we need to see is NBC reup Notre dame with prime 230 games.or cbs or fox.
I know id be having that in the contracts
These are exclusive windows the Big Ten negotiated. If anything, ND is the one getting bumped from NBC primetime games now. My guess is ND now has to either take a deal with NBC 2:30pm only, find a new network, or split their rights up. I think the Big Ten also backed ND into a corner a little by negotiating this deal with FOX, CBS, and NBC and taking exclusive windows on all three networks. ABC/ESPN already negotiated exclusive windows with SEC.
Not much airspace left for ND on the major networks. FOX still has MLB baseball playoffs/World Series so not sure they would bid on ND at this time. It's possible ND could do the reverse of the Big Ten, and put most of their games on NBC at 2:30pm and a couple games per year on FOX or CBS in primetime.
That is why i want that provision in their on Notre Dame with these networks to back Notre dame into a corner. Forcing them to join a conference.one single team shouldn't get an automatic seat and provision and cupcake deals.
I want the B1G to squeeze ND out of NBC CBS And Fox and force them to ABC or join the B1G
and with the SEC already negotiating their windows it would put ND in a very hard place.
I don't really care. The funnier part for me is that if ND stays with NBC, there are going to be a bunch of promos for the Big Ten primetime game throughout their game. The bigger issue for ND is inventory. I don't see how a network can justify spending $75+ million on 7 home games with only 3-4 of those games being against top 50 competition. Unless ND loads up their schedule, I have hard time seeing them getting a huge deal. And any good team is going to require a home-and-home deal.
At least with a conference package, you get a bundle of games to select from every week. With ND, you are stuck with that one team even if they have a down year or the opponents on their schedule end up stinking.

If NBC doesn't give ND a decent contract, ESPN will buy them for ABC just to keep them away from The B1G. ESPN has extra media cash to throw around since they whiffed on The B1G.
Fox = Game 1 at noon
CBS = Game 2 / 3 at 3:30
NBC = Game 2 / 3 at 8:00
FS1 = Game 4 / 5 / 6 Thurs - Sat
BTN = Game 6 / 7 / 8 Sat
This is how I see it playing out for football. My only contention is I wish they didn't lock each of the main networks into specific time slots. What if the number 1 pick for that week is Mich vs PSU. I would much rather watch that as a night game, but Fox will lock it up for noon instead.
A couple of people posted here that the USA network (as part of the NBC deal) will probably get some games. They’re probably right.

That would definitely help with basketball weekday games.
Crap. This means I almost certainly will have to get Paramount+ now.
I resisted getting Peacock until this past Saturday morning when I finally broke down when I saw that 8 of the 9 PL games this weekend were only on the ‘cock. I mean its only $4.99/mo but Giannis was right, that’s almost $5 a month.
I hope our BTN games get Jake Butt.... more Butt, less Millen.
good. espn sux.
If it weren't for the fact I get it free and UFC, I wouldn't even have ESPN+. But, ESPN and ESPN+ are the only ways I can watch UFC now and I hate that.
So if Notre Dame joins the BIG10? And Clemson, Oregon, and Washington? What will ESPN be looking up at, even with the SEC in their corner?
I don’t think any of those things are happening. If anyone it would be ND exclusively and that’s a major long shot right now imho.
To Hell with Notre Dame.

ND is not coming to The B1G, not this time around. But I saw some speculation that after The B1G (16 team B1G) gets this current negotiation put to bed, they will invite Stanford, Cal, Oregon, Washington and take that group to market as a separate package aiming at $250 Million ($62.5 each). The B1G will have a two-tiered media pay-out structure.
I posted this in the other topic on this by accident, but one thing I haven't seen discussed yet is the impact this new contract will have on schedules. If the Big Ten is selling NBC a primetime game for the whole season, what does this mean for conference November night games? And night games in general? If NBC has paid for a primetime game for the whole season, it sounds like teams are not going to have a choice. The Game is probably always going to be locked into noon on FOX, but the 2 weeks before that might be different.
There also might be more 3:30pm and 7:30pm games with the Big Ten giving each network an exclusive window for the top three games. There also has been no reporting on when networks will make their selections. How far in advance will networks make their selections, especially for the NBC prime time games?
