8 Max....

I don't like the bye week for the best teams. It's too much of an advantage.

These are legit interesting matchups imo....

1 LSU v 8 Wisconsin

2 OSU v 7 Baylor

3 Clemson v 6 Oregon

4 OU v 5 Georgia

Everyone else can play in a crap bowl if they want... or not.

We have a playoff, it works great because only teams that deserve to have a chance to win a NC are in it. This playoff idea is a catastrophe for fairness, and the regular season. If we had this system and some team that was a seed in say, the the teens got hot and won the NC? That would be awful, not cool, an injustice and a wrecking of the regular season. Terrible idea to let any team beyond at BEST, 8 teams in a playoff. 6 is best of all, but 4 is great.

Looks like you're pretty new.  So, no actual downvote this time, but FYI.

From MGoBoard FAQ:

How can I avoid downvotes?

Don't be redundant. Don't use stupid nicknames like O$U. Spell things correctly. Don't post useless replies like "I agree" and whatnot.

That opening weekend looks worse than any random week in October or November.  I just don't get why people want this when it would destroy all regular bowls, probably destroy conference championships and definitely destroy any interesting out of conference games.  Seriously, are we excite about M/Boise?  Utah/USC?  Penn State/FAU?  Minnesota/Notre Dame?  Iowa/Memphis?  Miami,OH/Florida?  Alabama/App St?  What game looks interesting in there?  What team in there has had a season that seems worthy of a national championship?  Hard pass from me, this would be miserable.

Seriously, fuck off at this point with this nonsense.

Its clear who the best teams are this year more than ever.  Nobody needs another 16 games to figure it out.  If you need to see teams like Cincy, Memphis, Oregon, Baylor, Utah, PSU, and Notre Dame lose again to realize they aren't deserving, you simply cannot be helped.

These have become ridiculous. They are all just manipulations to figure out a way to get Michigan in a playoff.  I swear if UM finished 6-6 and ranked 47th, there would be someone here posting a bracket saying we needed 48 teams for a 'true' play-off...  No!  Stop.  Enough!!!
