Not gonna lie I was hoping we'd get to see a 1-2 punch of Tru and Samuels but obviously im happy Higdon is back. Samuels is really intriguing with his speed.

I do think Tru is better than Evans if given the same playing time. Tru is very solid in pass pro and a hard runner. Tru runs straight, Evans dances a lot.

Against SMU Evans was ATROCIOUS in short yardage situations. Absolutely horrible.

I think people are going to be surprised by Nebraska this yr. They are actually pretty close to being a good team now. They would have smoked Troy if Martinez was able to go. I think they are better than MSU with Martinez. This will be the best OL M has faced this yr and Their backs are quick and always fall forward. Martinez is a tough match up for our Front 7, who have been having trouble w/rush lane integrity.

Their D is much improved. I worry about M’s tackles vs their DE’s. They get lots of sacks. Going into last week they were #1 in that department which is impressive as they have only played 2 games. This is not the game where M is just going to be able to run Powerand IZ on 1st down all game long. They are going to have to role Shae out and get some easy throws to mix it up in order to stay on schedule and score some points. Dropping back against this team is def asking for trouble.

I would be surprised if Martinez  was held out at this point bc reports indicate that he is at least close to 100%.
